We support other departments at the University of Oklahoma College of Continuing Education (OCCE) by developing and managing technology services and products. Through innovation and close collaboration with our clients, we endeavor to facilitate all aspects of OCCE's mission of educational outreach.

Showcase Sites

CCE-IT sets-up custom developed websites that showcase a specific organization, campaign, project, or event so that the Outreach business unit can manage its content typically using WordPress or Django CMS. CCE-IT optimizes each website to be mobile friendly and to increase traffic from search engines.

Custom Development

CCE-IT hosts web applications that facilitate Outreach business units in managing their event information. Events include (but are not limited to) conferences, camps, and seminars. In addition, CCE-IT provides custom developed systems web applications that automate the management of curricula, instructors, students, and enrollment. Bursar functionality is also provided.

CCE-IT advises Outreach business units on the viability of the Information Technology security and accessibility measures embedded in their IT-based processes and architecture. Specifically, CCE-IT addresses how well privileged information is restricted, yet fully accessible to authorized users in accordance with Outreach Policy, IT best practices, and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, FERPA, FISMA, PCI, 508/EITA, and ADA.​​

Technicians install, troubleshoot, and repair software applications and hardware on user devices. By interacting with end-users on a regular basis at their worksites, Technicians strive to understand users’ preferences and work environments to optimize their devices’ configurations.

Knowledge Managers facilitate the communication, stewardship, organization, documentation, and pedagogy of workplace knowledge among individuals, teams, and business units. They identify and implement processes and practices that promote end-user efficiency, mission-effectiveness, as well as compliance with existing organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Developers

Developers create, maintain, and improve web applications to automate end-users’ routine tasks, freeing employees to creatively and proactively conduct core departmental business. Developers also implement websites that showcase departmental services, products, and events.

Project Managers

Project Managers

Project Managers guide CCE-IT personnel and customers through the process of implementing new products and services. They facilitate and coordinate project team members’ efforts by mitigating obstacles to team members, promoting collaboration among stakeholders and by continuously aligning project progress to customers’ needs.

System Administrators

System Administrators

System Administrators build, configure, and maintain the hardware and software that end-users access via network communications. They ensure that users can readily and securely access network resources that they host, as well as access internet websites external to CCE-IT.
